Each week one of us will lead the class and the other will help students with alignment. Adjustments are not made often enough in most yoga classes because there is only one teacher. This is a great opportunity to correct any bad habits. If you are new to yoga, you will have a chance to correct them before they develop. We are really excited about this program.

Winter Session of Yoga School

Yesterday we had our first weekend intensive for the winter session of the yoga school. There were over 40 students present - from Centerville Yoga Center, Sanctuary of Kingston, Charlestown Yoga Studio, Hingham Duval Design Studio, Yoga Studio of Millis, and Feathers Wellness Studio-South Weymouth.

In the morning we reviewed the subtle energy system and introduction to yoga philosophy. In the afternoon we reviewed Yoga Anatomy and how yoga postures effect the various systems of the body. They did handstands, support wheels, energy techniques, breathing, mudra, bandhas and other poses throughout the day.

Today they studied structural alignment of yoga poses with Cathy Mann from The Yoga Studio of Millis.

Now life gets a bit less hectic for the next 6 months!
